Miatas at Myrtle Beach IV

MAMB IV will run from March 25 - 28,  2010, last year there were 260 registered cars for this event.  http://www.triadmiatas.com/MAMB_IV.html The registration fee for the event is only $10 per car and this includes a hot dog lunch, trophies, music and snacks & some soft drinks. Additional costs would be for tee shirts or sweatshirts ($20 to $40), track day at Myrtle Beach Speedway ($25 for an autocross and unlimited hot laps), the Car Show in the Clouds (a donation of $20 to the Children's Home Society of NC) or the Miata Scramble ($10). We will again be at the Sea Mist Resort, which we found to be very nice at last year's event. Covered parking with around the clock security guards is provided, restaurants are available on site, free wi-fi and car wash facilities with buckets and rags are provided for us too (there is also a car wash just up the road from the Sea Mist).

At MAMB III last year, Northcoast Miata club members entered the Car Show in the Clouds (one of our Northcoast Miata club cars finished second in class), drove in the autocross and did hot laps at the track, enjoyed exploring the sights, enjoyed hanging out at the pool and of course we all ate ourselves silly in the area restaurants. We did the trip down in two days, but returned in just one, the trip is a pretty easy drive. Maybe they'll even get better weather this year.
